Law firm “Asters” is proud to announce the opening of a new art exhibition in the art project “Art Asters.” A presentation of the exhibition will be held on February 17, 2011, when the firm’s office walls will be a temporary home for much of the memorable works of Vera Barinova Kuleba, She is a legendary figure of Ukrainian art.
On the exhibition “Self-Portrait with imagination” will be presented the unique performance of a bandura player Valentyn Lysenko and the work of the woman artist, making up a harmonious blend of modern and eternal in the life of Ukrainians. Her realistic and a distinctive style of painting fascinates with its sincerity, a deep sensitivity and authentic Ukrainian motives. Vera was born in a rural family where Ukrainian traditions were in honor, and the values of family and a motherhood were cherished. Simultaneously, the memories of her childhood imbued with the events, the consequences of collectivization and World War II. So, the events intertwined in the painter`s imagination, who from the early years of her life and even now, still works tirelessly and makes echo-images of those times and culture, which were in her memory.
Vera Barinova Kuleba is a Honored Artist of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, professor of the National Academy of Art and Architecture of Ukraine, the Commander of the Order of Princess Olga III degree. Her works are represented in the exhibitions in Switzerland, France, Ukraine, Hungary, USA, Russia, Germany, China, Britain, occupy an important place in the museums and the private collections around the world, were put up for auction, “Sothebys” and “Christie”.
